THE WEEK ON TV: 23rd – 29th September

TV

SUNDAY– 9pm, BBC2 – Stuart: A Life Backwards

We’ve already brought attention to this, so I’m not going to go on about it again, but Alexander Masters’ book, about his friendship with a charming, incredibly trouble homeless man; Stuart, is amazing and it looks like this drama will live up to the novel.

MONDAY– 10pm, BBC2- Kath & Kim

A genius Australian comedy series, you must have seen it… right?

TUESDAY– 9.30pm – BBC4 – Flight Of The Conchords

fotc

Music, comedy and randomness. If you like The Mighty Boosh or Peep Show, give it a try.

WEDNESDAY – 8pm Sky Movies HD 2 –Serenity

Joss Whedon’s Western in space movie which followed on from his shockingly cancelled series Firefly. With his trademark humour honed over years of Buffy, this is a fantastic movie with eye candy provided from Waitress‘s Nathan Fillion.

THURSDAY – 8.30pm More4 – The Daily Show With Jon Stewart

Always right on the button of current events, and always funny – Jon Stewart’s show is on every week day.

FRIDAY – 10pm BBC2 – QI

QI

Stephen Fry teaches Alan Davies, the panel and everyone at home everything that’s worth knowing.

SATURDAY – 6.05pm & 8.30pm ITV – The X Factor

You know what to expect in this double bill – the auditionees go to Boot Camp!

So that rounds up this week on TV – There are the glossy American heavyweights too remember – Heroes, Series 3 of Prison Break, Entourage, Brothers And Sisters etc, and I’ll be back next week with my pick of what’s coming up. I might even review a few of these shows during the week time-permitting!

Enjoy your telly-based evenings, however many you may plan…
